Apelab is a Los Angeles and Geneva based software company democratising content creation & education technology using 3D/AR/VR. The company was initially founded in 2014 in Geneva, Switzerland, by a trio of interaction designers who pioneered in the AR/VR space by working closely with companies such as Facebook, Google and HTC to build interactive experience that won awards around the globe. In 2018, apelab made available a beta of their Software Tools under the name SpatialStories. After seeing how many teachers were using SpatialStories to teach students how to build their own interactive stories, the Apelab team decided to fully integrate it in a product called Zoe. Zoe was built during the teams residency at Rlab in collaboration with Superventures in October 2019 with the mission to give students superpowers ! The team aims at giving teachers a simple way to get started in using Spatial Learning in K-12 and Higher Education to make the students learning experiences more engaging & adapted to the future of education.
